Additives protect base oil, in turn, they are protected by Triple R filter element.

Triple R filter elements are engineered to trap and remove contaminants such as Solid particles, water and air and which range in size from 0.1mm to 1mm.

Slowing-Down Oxidation

Additives deplete due to a chemical chain reaction known as oxidation. Oxidation happens as a result of molecular interactions between metal (Fe), copper (Cu), Magnesium (Mg) and other metals known generically as solid particles, along with water (H2O) and/or air (O2).

Additives are used up as more and more contaminants find their way into the oil pan, therefore, by removing contaminants from circulation and stopping them from mixing with oil, additives are left to protect base oil to lubricate and minimize wear on the machine.
